I've been using kayak.com when I'm looking to book airfare. They compile rates for several different sites so you can compare in one place. Prior to that, I always used expedia.com.
For reviews I mostly use Trip Advisor and occasionally Yelp.com.

Fodors. I love their travel forums. I chose many vacations based on the recommendations of posters on that site. I never really liked tripadvisor for reviews. Fodors forums are like LIF, you find the same posters posting there every day.

For flight pricing research, I use a new one - www.hipmunk.com - I love the way it's laid out in a grid. all the same flights are there as with kayak which I also use. it's just that hipmunk displays it in a very different, useful way. Image Attachment(s):
