What Silly Little Thing...?
made you feel zen in the last 24 hours....
last night, Em was with us on the couch, i was laying back on Dave and she was standing between our bodies and we were just having a BALL. I was tickling her and she was hysterical, then we noticed she was obsessing Dave's mouth...so he'd stick his tongue out weird (hard to explain) and she'd stick her finger towards it and he'd fake bite her...and she was ROLLING...i mean, she was BRIGHT red, hysterical....then she'd calm down and i'd tickle her again, and she'd sit up and we'd do it ALL over again...
it really just gave me such a feeling of contentment, there were no toys involved, there was no eating stress, no money worries, it seriously felt like there were no problems in the UNIVERSE for that like, 20 minutes...and even today, as i sit at my desk, i am there, in that moment...and i'm okay...
what was your moment of zen today??

When I asked DS last night if he wanted to cuddle, and he said "Oh Yeah" then got all squishy on the couch and patted his Pillow Pet so I could put my head down.

Last night when ds was all cuddly and i was rubbing his back and he wasm aking silly noises. Then when i would stop he would give me this look like "ummm why did you stop mom".
We are gonna try and video tape it tonight.

Sitting on the floor with DS and both of us singing "Three Little Birds" by Bob Marley!
He started to sing the part:
"Don't worry about a thing,
'Cause every little thing gonna be all right"
a months ago when he started to watch the Sharktales movie it is in!
I thought THAT was cute...but all of a sudden in the last month he knows the whole song!!
And the  thing about it is that he really started to randomly burst out into song with this when I lost my job last month

DD & I both have a cold/cough. I feel like $hit!!!
She however, just smiles and laughs continuoulsy. This morning, I went into her room and she was awake..she saw me and came crawling over towards the door and climbed up and just had this huge smile on her face. It's like my own little rays of sunshine everymorning!!
So happy I'm off tomorrow and we get to spend the whole day together!

Since I introduced Elf on a Shelf I read the book to the girls at bedtime.
The past 2 nights Victoria has taken the book from me to read to her "beany". I sit back and watch her turn each page saying "once upon a time there was an elf, santa, and some kids". From there on she makes up her own story to read.
To watch them both sitting together while one reads to the other just makes me melt.
Of course I had to get the video camera since they weren't fighting

I was in the baby's room picking out his clothes and he woke up all disoriented and sleepy and sat up in bed and said in his little baby voice "cozy", and then snuggled back under the covers. I wanted to just eat him he is so friggin adorable.

DS was getting sleepy earlier so i picked him up and he nuzzled his little face w. his paci in his mouth under my neck and fell asleep.

Last night I finished the dishes and went into the den to find DD on DH's chest sleeping and DS watching tv. He patted the couch next to him for me to sit. So I did, and he took my hand to hold and intertwined his little fingers in mine so that he was holding my hand like this:
His hands were so tiny in mine and when I looked at him, he just smiled his cute little smile and kept on watching tv. I melted.

Tonight when I was putting Tristan to bed, he put his head down on my shoulder facing outward and I was kissing the back of his neck. Then he picked his head up, turned toward me and gave me a kiss on the lips, and then turned back and put his head back down. He used to do it more often, but he hasn't in a long time - I love it!

DD and I had a long day of shopping today. We were at MILS earlier and she was getting cranky because she had a very short nap today. So, I picked her up, sat her on my lap and she leaned against me. I was singing softly and rocking her just to soothe her and she kept picking up her head, looked at me, smiled and then would nuzzle in for more.
I love moments like those.

Every morning when I pick Riley up from her crib, she gives me a hug. Today I just kept her there and let the hug go on a long time...and when she realized I wasn't gonna put her down she started to giggle and just stayed there with her arms around my neck.
