What should I do?
I'm 3 months pregnant. I'm in a wedding in 2 weeks, I tried on my dress and it just fits. I have a spanx I can wear which smooths things out a bit. I'm afraid I'm going to gain weight, bloat more, or pop in the next few weeks and then I'll be in trouble. I was thinking of going to destination maternity tomorrow and looking at the body shapers there, or maybe even try to get another dress.
Any advice??????

Is there any way they can let the dress out a little? Unfortunately, depending on your body shape you can either have no problems, or not fit into the dress at all. You're not going to know until then, so anything you buy, keep the tags on until the last second so you always have the option to return!! Good luck!!

Re: What should I do?
Just call whereever you got the dress so they can order an extra material so they can add a side panel to the side of your dress...nobody will even be able to tell and you don't have to live in preggo 'fear' for the next few weeks. With the holiday coming up I would call them 1st thing tomorrow. For what you will, spend on body shapers etc you might as well just go the fool proof way and know your dress will fit. I've been in enough wedding parties in the past few years and almost everyone had someone get pregnant between ordering the dress and the wedding and this what they've done. Good luck!

Re: What should I do?
I think you will be okay in 2 weeks. I really didn't pop until more like 18 weeks.
I would check out the maternity spanx and see if they could help at all. I just doubt the dress will get so tight that you need more extra fabric in such a short time.
I would also be careful about eating over the next 2 weeks - difficult with the holiday - but just watch sweets, etc. Don't diet, that's not what I'm saying but just make sure you are getting a lot of water (helps prevent bloat) and eating healthy foods. You really shouldn't be gaining more than 1 pound a week, and if the event is 2 weeks away, that's only 2 pounds (if you gain that much, I personally didn't so early on).
Another idea - do you have a pashmina you could drape around your arms so in photos, etc. if you are a bit self conscious you have something to provide a little bit of coverage? I did this for an event I had early on during my pregnancy and was glad I did.
Good luck.

Hey girls! Found out last night the dress is still available from Davids bridal and it is only $49! Unfortunately with rush shipping and alterations its going to be a lot more then that but whatever. I'm going to get 2 sizes up and have the seamstress fit it to my body. Thanks again for the feedback!
