What should I do???
So I called to make an appointment at NSUH with Dr. Hershlag but the earliest appointment is 10/24...that would mean I would miss next month...what should I do??? Would it be worth it to wait or should I see a different doctor?

I would keep the appointment, and in the mean time call another re and get the ball rolling. If you end up not liking who you choose you always have a back up.

Re: What should I do???
Keep it and call around to other docs. Its unlikely you will get an appointment any sooner though (unless you have a personal referral) because I had a similar experience.

I was going to add if you can't get anything sooner have your ob do cd3 bloodwork and maybe get your dh a SA this way those things are done already.

Re: What should I do???
I would keep the appt. You would most likely miss a month anyway. He will most likely have you do a bunch of testing that your OB/GYN didnt do. There is almost no way you would see a Dr and jump right into treatments. There is too much they need to figure out before they put you on any kinds of meds.

I agree. That would save time when you do get to see your RE.

Re: What should I do???
I actually got an appointment with Dr. Cohen on 10/12...anyone have any experience with him? I think I may keep the 10/24 with Dr. Hershlag just in case I dont like Dr. Cohen.

Just so you know with NSUH, you will end up seeing multiple doctors. Your doctor will come up with a treatment plan, but the actual treatments and monitoring may be done by the other doctors.
My doc is Dr. Rausch, but I've seen Dr. Chu and Dr. Cohen for IUI and monitoring and Dr. Rosenfeld for testing and monitoring.

So does it make a difference who my main doctor is?

Yes and no. . . yes, because whoever your main doctor is you have to be very comfortable with them and trust them.
No in the sense that all the doctors in that practice are coworkers. They are on the same level. There is no head doctor (that's the feeling I get).
