what prenatals are you taking?
What is the name of the prenatal vitamins are you taking?
I am particularly looking for ones with laxatives in them - i thought i saw someone talk about them?
My doctor doesn't want to see me until 8 weeks, but I am concerned about my diet (very poor!) I just want to get the name so I can at least just get a prescription for it.

I use Prima Care One...it has a stool softener in it...and I have had no problems with the bathroom.

I'm taking prenate elite- the gelcaps. I think they must have some type of stool softener or laxitive in them- because things have gotten a little better in that department since I started them (almost a week ago).

Prenate Elite but it needs a prescription. Any multivitamin is OK as long as it has a minimum of 400-800 of folic acid !

Dr. gave me some prenatals to try out. Prima Care one seems to be the best.

With DD took CVS Prenatals $8.99 for 100 pills
This pg-CVS in the beginning, but now I take flintstones.
Doc told me over the counter are just about the same, and for me, i would have to pay $35 bucks a month for prescription.
I take colace to deal the constipation, it's the same ingredient they put in the prescrips.

I take a store brand prenatal & a folic acid supplement, which is very important in the beginning.
I wouldn't recommend taking a regular multi-vitamin because it might have more vitamin A than you need, which can cause problems.
Also, be careful with the laxatives. You don't want to flush out the vitamins you're taking or get dehydrated. Try a stool softener & eat a lot of fiber instead.

You can also take colace which helps. My doctor actually just told me today that although they say the max dose is 3, you can actually take more than that everyday in severe cases and it is totally fine for the baby.

I am taking PreCare Premier. Doctor gave me a ton of free samples when I was there. Its been good so far, has a stool softener and its a nice small pill!!
