What next after cereal
So, what happens next??
Noah has been having rice cereal for about 3 days now and it seems to be going down and staying down well. He even opens his mouth for it!!! Hooray!! So what should I feed him next???
I wanted to make my own babyfood for the kiddiwink, but in the real world, I think it might be too much work, so I will probably buy it in jars...
My little baby is all grown up!

veggies...start with yellow/orange. I am alternating veggie, fruit, veggie, fruit.
Pears gave her gas and explosive poop the first day, so I split it up (1/2 container a day instead of a whole one).
We are on bananas now...they stopped her up. This mornings' dirty diaper was a bunch of little pellets
1st veggie was sweet potatoes (loved it), then we did carrots (orange poo) and next is squash and done with yellow/orange
ETA: OR you can try a different cereal to see how he does. We tried oatmeal cereal after rice and she liked that MUCH better

You can start mixing in flavors into the cereal to get him used to the taste if your ped says it's ok.
For making your own homemade babyfood (I didn't, friend did), you just take your leftover veggies from dinner & throw them in the food processor until their paste. Spoon it into an ice tray & freeze them. When you're ready to feed him, pop out a cube & defrost it.

My ped recommened to do all three cereals (Min three days each). Rice - Oatmeal - Barely. After that I moved onto stage 1 fruits and then veggies. Have funa dn take lots of cute pictures!

I would try other cereals first before moving on to veggies. I went a whole month with jsut cereal before starting the veggies, per my ped.
I also make alot of thier food and it is not bad at all to do. Especially stuff like Bananas and avocados they get that fresh. I jsut steam veggies, puree them up and put them in the freezer in ice cube trays and I have food for a while.
