what laundry detergent do you use?
I am currently using Tide Free & Gentle pods. I miss scented clothes though, I love that fresh clothes smell. Now that my kids are getting older, and none seem to have sensitive skin, I am going to try scented detergent again. What is everyone's favorite, and do you use liquid/powder/pod?

Tide original scent with bleach alternative and then use downy April fresh fabric softener. Love that combo!

Whatever is cheapest on the per unit price at BJs.
Usually that is All or Arm & Hammer

Gain original scent -- I like a hint of smell and this does the trick. Many others are too heavily perfumed and/or don't smell at all. It always takes my stains out and when I have heavily soiled loads (like DD's clothes), I throw in a scoop of powdered Biz as a stain booster. Works like a charm.

I use something like Persil, which is called Ariel (not available in the US). I liked Ariel more for some reason, but they are very similar.

They do sell Ariel here in the US -- I've seen it in Walmart, but only in powder form (not sure if it comes in a liquid?)

For those that use Persil, I've heard from more than one person who has used it that their clothes had almost like a vomit odor after being washed in it. I googled online and found that its actually very common -- the cleaning agents in it work so well that it pulls out trapped odors, dirt, etc. causing the foul odor. Has anyone experienced this?

I use tide with downy I buy it at Costco. I love the way it smells and my clothes seem very clean.

We use Better Life which is a natural brand. We use the unscented one, though they also make one with I believe a lavender scent. I’m the one in my house with the sensitive skin, so we stick to unscented.

this and they have the sensitive skin one
and you can get it for $1-2 on sale (the 32 wash size)
i bought tide simply and it doesnt clean as well and smells too stong

Yes, this was my experience. My husband plays rugby and there was definitely a foul smell after washing his uniforms. The rest of the clothes came out fine, just his uniforms.
We currently use Arm & Hammer Plus Fresh Scent and Downy fabric softener.

I use Purex. I have sensitive skin, other detergents bother me, but Purex does not. Usually buy on sale at Shoprite.
