Re: What kind of testing
I have seen on here that women go for immune and genetic tests. Hopefully your doc will give you more info.

this. it's a TON of bloodwork but worth it. dr. b discovered insulin resistance and a slow thyroid with me along with a few other issues.

I haven't had a loss because I just haven't gotten pregnant. But Dr. B ran these tests on me and discovered a few borderline things that may be preventing me. And some things that when I do get pregnant I may need to be on.
He has me on a few supplements to help. I am SO glad I got this blood panel done. It was like 30 viles took like 3-5 minutes and wasn't bad at all.

Re: What kind of testing
I'm going through the testing right now, I've had 2 losses. They did genetic/chromosomal testing. Then I have to go for more blood when I get AF and then schedule a sonogram in 2 weeks where they'll inject dye into the uterus to make sure everything looks good. I know there's more blood tests that I'm forgetting to mention but I'm so terrified of giving blood I don't even care what it's for I just want to get it over with and get the results. What type of med insurance do you have? All i have to pay for is the co-pays

FYI...Dr. B is the only Reproductive Immunologist in the area (LI) and for the most part, other Dr's feel the immune issues are bullhonkey. I know it stinks because he doesn't take any ins except OON now. Good luck!

Re: What kind of testing
i was tested for thrombophilia (blood clotting) and immune factors with dr. B. turned out I had both.
no other doctor does the panel like dr. B. he has a completely custom set of tests and looks a lot more deeply at specific issues than other doctors. many REs dont even believe immunology plays a role in pregnancy loss. i highly recommend if you can make it work that you see him, since his panel and perspective is so unique.

Re: What kind of testing
I'm not sure if you're still interested but I found the lab referral my doctor gave me. For the molecular genetics form he checked off MG CF Cystic Fibrosis 45 mutation analysis, SMA Spinal Muscular Atrophy, and FRX DNA Fragile X. For the general lab, under chemistry he checked off Hemoglobin A1c. Under thyroid function he checked off TSH, under special chemistry - estradiol, FSH, LH, HgB Electro, and Prolactin. He took a slew of blood at my appt with him 2 weeks ago so there were more tests but I'm not sure what they were for.

Re: What kind of testing
I did not have my testing with Dr. B but from what I've read on here I think the testing I had covers most of what he looks for.
I had 14 viles drawn at once. All of the testing was done at Quest and was covered by my insurance BCBS. I know they primarily looked for the blood clotting disorders & immune disorders related to recurrent miscarriage.
I also did mid luteal progesterone testing for 3 or 4 months to monitor my progesterone level. That required using an OPK and going for bloodwork on a specific day each cycle.

I went to Madonna Perinatal. Liked the doctor I had there a lot. I had a HUGE blood panel done...they must have taken 16-20 viles of blood. Maybe more.
I also had a saline sono to check my uterus and tubes. He didnt think I needed an HSG based on that.
The blood test found high thyroid antibodies which could cause m/c, and MTHFR gene mutation which is a blood clotting issue.Since then I take baby aspirin every day for life (Lovenox when pregnant), and need to be monitored by an endo.
I just realized that you lost your last pregnancy. I'm so sorry Ang..
