What kind of tablecloth do you have with messy eaters?

My dining table is shot, and needs to be covered with a tablecloth. The problem is my kids are horrible mess makers when they eat. We're talking will use the tablecloth to wipe their hands when a napkin is right next to their plates!!!Chat Icon Anywho, I'm tired of washing tablecloths and most of the stains don't come out so I end up tossing. What do you use for messy kids. I used to just put a flannel back plastic but they end up with holes poked in them or ripped. Suggestions????

Are you crafty/sew? Maybe you could find a fitted one, like a fitted sheet so they can't use it as a napkin

Or something like this

Fitted table cloth

Hmmm... I'm not terribly crafty but that's a cool idea. My friend actually has the fitted one but her table is a lot smaller than mine and I've never seen a pattern I like.

I have a pretty oilcloth, its basically fabric covered in plastic. I bought it at a fabric shop and its sold by the yard. Mine is stapled to the underside of the table, and its great. Doesn't move around and is super easy to clean!

This is the print I have now:

bed bath & beyond has these ones. Only ones I buy.

They are stain resistant, liquid spills actually bead up..so you just wipe it up and no stain.

I wish I could remember the name. They are always on display on the wall. I want to say Origins.

You could have a nice tablecloth on the table and put clear plastic over it or get a different plastic one and take off after the meal.

they also sell the vinyl ones you can wipe down as welll

My SIL has a very pretty tablecloth and over that she puts a thick clear one over that from bbb. It looks great. We plan to do the same.
