However, now imagine my 8 yr old niece saying these things, adn there's your answer as to why I will never speak to my SIL and BIL again.

I saw this already, and although its wrong, I dont think there teaching her to say that, it just sounds like it when she says " sparkling Wiggles" I guess they did it as a joke--haha!

There's really something wrong with people that would not only encourage this behavior....but then air it like the "proud" parents they are. For their sake.....I hope she marries a black man

When your DC starts to talk, you'll learn why...  Sometimes it takes DW and I several minutes (and a frustrated DS) before we can figure out what he's really saying.
On the main topic, this is why prejudice and bigotry won't be gone for a while. We are heading in the right direction as a society, but as long as there are *people* (I hate classifying things like that as people...) like this who are teaching their kids hate and ignorance, it will continue. All I can hope is that the little girl somehow inherited a brain (sometimes two bed gene pools create something good), and she realizes how ignorant her parents are, and becomes a normal adult (and falls in love with and marries a minority  )
