 | how accurate is sono? when telling you the sex of the baby? I know back in the day when my mom was prego with me and my sister they told her we were both boys - but they have come a long way since! just wondering how accurate these days? I was just told on Tues that we are having a girl - - but started to wonder if thats close to 100% or will I wind up with all pink stuff for a little boy? :)
**did anyone here have a sono and was told the sex and it turned out to be wrong when they delivered?

 | Re: how accurate is sono? Well they always say they are not 100%. I think they are more accurate when telling its a boy for obvious reasons. I asked the same questions though but I guess you are always taking a chance. Most of the people I know, the sono was right. |

 | Re: how accurate is sono? I don't know anyone it was wrong for recently, I asked and the woman doing my sono said she hasn't been wrong in the four years she's been doing it, but of course there is always a small chance. |

 | Re: how accurate is sono? I think I read somewhere they are about 85% accurate. When I had mine done, the dr. said "there is NO way this is a boy" LOL - we got a reallllly clear picture of the baby's "girl parts" |

 | Re: how accurate is sono? I know about 2 years ago my friend was in an accident and the hospital told her she was having a bot and it wound up being a girl... |

 | Re: how accurate is sono? One of DH's co workers had a baby around when we had Sarah and was told it was a girl and it was a boy. They had to get all new clothes and re-do the room.
But I think it's pretty rare.

 | Re: how accurate is sono? Also, if you have an amnio, that is about 99.9% accurate. |
