 | teachers and/or parents...where do you go in the fall to take your kids to a farm? we were hoping to take our 1st graders to get pumpkins and learn about the harvest - is there anywhere on the island that is relatively cheap, fun and educational?? we used to go to one place but it got too $$$ according to our principal! | Re: teachers and/or parents...where do you go in the fall to take your kids to a farm? i used to work at Martin Viette in East Norwich (near oyster bay), and i think it is really cheap - they get a pumpkin, hayride, feed farm animals, take pictures with cut outs and get a goodie bag with a pansy and an apple..

 | Re: teachers and/or parents...where do you go in the fall to take your kids to a farm? I second green meadows. We always go to the one in Floral Park and its a lot of fun. Although very tiring for the teachers, they have a lot of animals, a REALLY bumpy hay ride and pumpkins. The people are nice and its affordable according to my director. |
