 | First Acupuncture Visit Friday, I had my first acupuncture visit. It was painless....and quite interesting. However, I have a pretty dark bruise from this, is this normal ? I don't even bruise badly when I get bloodwork done.

 | Re: First Acupuncture Visit Sorry I don't know anything about acupuncture but I hope your bruises aren't painful
Are you going to Berkeley Center? Do you know if they accept insurance?

 Good luck to you!!

 | Re: First Acupuncture Visit I don't think it's normal. The accupucture needles hard very dull ends to them and do not draw blood. |

 | Re: First Acupuncture Visit He used several needles,....and only one left a bruise. lol that's just my luck. He knew I was there for fertilty. He basically was working on my kidney and lungs. I go back Friday.... I didn't go to the Berkley Center, I figured I would try someone local. Kara mentioned this person in Oceanside in her post, so I thought I would try. |

 | Re: First Acupuncture Visit Michele -- That is weird, I never got a black & blue (I've only been twice tho). Was it in your calf? When he stuck my calf he did say he had to "work" the needle a bit to get to the point.....
I am glad you went, what did you think???

DH and I are both going Tueday and Thursday this week because I should O around Labor Day, and we won't be around....

 | Re: First Acupuncture Visit If the needle hurt while in, it could be that the chi in that area is stagnant and if it bruised, i wouldn't worry about it. Although I haven't gone for fertility reasons, I always had one area on my leg that was always painful/ uncomfortable and was told that the chi was stagnant. Once it gets worked on, it will be better...are you sensitive to brusing? |

 | Re: First Acupuncture Visit I think I have bruised a few times in a couple of spots, and I've been going on and off for about 2 years now. I do bruise easily though. |
