What kind and color tile for this bathroom?

What kind and color tile for this bathroom?
This is my master bath. It currently has peel and stick laminate on the floor and DH wants to tile it this weekend.
I hate the cheap oak vanity but we are not changing it at this time so I have to work around it.
I like the look of rectangle tiles but not sure how good it would look in a small space.
What kind and color would you chose?
And heres another angle from before I painted it green.

we did white subway tile and we did a blue/black slate floor with it.
we like it a lot.
With subway tile I personally think you should either do a dark to contrast or go with one of the more traditonal looks with either a hex tile, or a dot pattern
