crib mattress
what kind of mattress did you get for the crib? I know you are supposed to get extra firm, but is one brand better than the other?

We have Baby Beauty Rest. I also found the matress picking very complicated with all the choices, so I just went into BRU, talked to the guy who worked the matress section, tested a few and made my choice.

I got the Colgate Classica, which is recommended in the "Baby Bargains" book and seems great.
