 | Re: Diaper rash/bath help!!! OMG too cute. Have you tried triple paste?? My BF swears by it when her daughter used to get BAD diaper rashes. I think she said you can get it at CVS she said it's on the pricey side but for their comfort I am sure it's worth it! |

		| | Re: Diaper rash/bath help!!! I swear by butt paste, though my son has never had the type of rash you describe he's had only one minor rash and I really think Butt Paste at the first sign of trouble is the reason... give it a try |

 | Re: Diaper rash/bath help!!! Definately Boudreaux's Butt Paste! At the first site of a rash I put it on and it clears up in no more than a day. |

 | Re: Diaper rash/bath help!!! I don't know if this is an ongoing problem or not but my niece has ongoing diaper rash that wasn't clearing up for anything, and it turned out she was allergic to something in the desitin/balmex and now they have to use some other kind of stuff.

I've only seen it at Babies R' Us. It was near the bath products.

 | Re: Diaper rash/bath help!!! Definatly butt paste. Jake has that problem when he was about 1 month old. His butt was bleeding through his pours and we used the butt paste and it helped sooo much. It turned out he was allergic to his formula and the constant pooping was just too much for his little butt. We are now on Nutramitgen and it is so much better. |

 | Re: Diaper rash/bath help!!! Rebecca was on Nutramigen too and now that she has transitioned to regular food sometimes has awful diaper rashes with open sores. The ped. presribed a special diaper cream and then I put the Triple paste over it. I just went out and bought a large 1 pound jar from Costco for 25.00. Well worth it since she is back to normal. When I bath her I use only aveeno oatmeal bath and no shampoo or wash until I am just about to take her out of the tub.
I hope your little one feels better soon.

 | Re: Diaper rash/bath help!!! I know that they have butt paste at Target, that's where I got mine.... the best thing is to let it air out and dry up, so as dangerous as it may be let her hang out without a diaper on and then put butt paste on right before you put the diaper back on, that's what I used to do when Mallory used to get her wicked diaper rash. |

 | Re: Diaper rash/bath help!!! I couldn't use ANY ointments on my youngest son when he was born. He had such bad chafing and even bled. and the ointment irritated it even more and didn't allow the rash to heal.
So what I did was that every time I changed him, I would clean his bottom with warm water, pat it dry and I used baby powder with corn starch. It worked IMMEDIATELY.

 Good luck.

This is what my Dr just told me to use. I was using vasoline at every diaper change and he said that could block pores and cause a rash. He said to use baby powder with cornstarch....obviously don't make a cloud of smoke when putting it on, just put some on your fingers and rub on the baby's bottom.
