Had 36 week appt. - What a day!
Yesterday I went to the doctor for my 36 week appointment. I was a little nervous to haev the internal done, but it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. I felt a little presure, but that was about it. I am 1 cm dialiated and she said my cervix is really thin. She was able to feel the baby's head. She then examined my belly and was concerned that is was too small so she wanted to get a sonogram to make sure the baby was developng properly. The only problem was there was no sono tech in the office yesterday so she sent me to Labor and Delivery at the hospital. I was then admitted and had to wait 3 hours for a sonogram. Turns out she is mesuring about a week behind schedule, but they said it is OK. Has anyone else had this happen or heard of this? TIA.
What a day - a simple doctor's appoinment turn into a 6 hour ordeal. I do have to say though, the nurses at St. Catherines are great!
