What kind of bread for 12 months +
This might sound silly but what kind of bread do you give your 12 months + DC?
Are we allowed to give them brown bread/wholegrain or are we just supposed to give them white?
I bought some bread yesterday that has little seed/grains in it - I didn't know whether that was ok to give my DD who is almost 15 months, and I'd feel kinda silly ringing the ped about that. So I thought perhaps you ladies would know!

I give both of my kids brown bread, its what we eat. I would love to say I give them artisan organic bread made my fair trade fairies who work in a quarry, but its just regular old supermarket sliced brown bread (Hovis Brown Medium is our favorite)

Yeah, I just get the supermarket bread too - no Irish fairies working on our bread either! 
I did manage to find the only loaf with grainy seeds in it though - guess I'll try her and see how she does.
I guess my main concern was her getting too much fiber - but I'm pretty sure she wont get that from supermarket bread.

DS eats whole wheat - there are a few little seeds in it - he seems to enjoy it.

I give DD wheat/whole grain bread. We don't eat white bread in this house, we prefer wheat or somethign with whole grain/fiber and she does just fine with them. She has been eating it since 9-10 months.

I give him all different kinds of bread. I really like to give him Arnold Oatnut. he seems to really like that. it does have small amounts of hazelnuts in it though, if you haven't introduced nuts yet.
the only time he eats "white" bread is when we have baguette or something like that. but sliced breads it's either Oat nut or whole wheat or seven grain. the biggest things to me are amount of dietary fiber per slice and the absense of HFCS.

Ladies thanks so much. I knew that was a silly question! :) I just remember the ped saying something about not too much fibre early on, but I figured she should be ok by now.
We don't buy white bread either so that's why I was asking - I'd much prefer her to eat brown if thats a-ok for her little system.

DS usually eats multigran thins (i think from arnold's) or whole wheat bread at home and when i can help it. he also has whole wheat pasta. if someone doesnt carry it or have it on hand, i'm not a nut about it. its just a preference.
