what is your baby's heartrate?
As of last week at 18w4d the babys hb was 140. I have an at home doppler that is saying the hb this week is 120-130 and it does sound a bit slower. Earlier in the preg the hb was 150-160. I read it does slow down as the preg progresses but it is making me verrrrrry nervous that it seems to slow so much at only around five months. Can anyone share theis dcs hbs ? Ty

I wouldnt trust the at home dopler machines for an accuarte HB.
Mine is usually 140 (at Dr. office) and they say thats perfect.

At my NT scan this past Thursday (I was exactly 12 weeks), it was 160.

I hover around the 150 mark. Both at doc office and on the home Doppler. I know for me, a beat of 120-130 is not the baby at home. I do a bit more searching and am able to find a distinct fast baby beat. I would try again. I'm entering my 18th week btw and last used doppler about a week ago.

The heartrate should fluctuate depending on the baby's activity. If the baby is resting, it will be lower. If the baby is active, it should be faster. I wouldn't worry and I wouldn't necessarily trust what a rented doppler says.

my doppler at home normally measures about 10-20 bpm slower then the one at the docs (usually get in the low 130's at home and low 150's at the doctors. I wouldn't worry to much about the rate as long as you can hear the heartbeat and its over 90 (meaning not your own :)

Jen, if they thought it was necessary for patients to monitor the heart rate between appointments, they would TELL YOU to have a monitor and do it consistently.
These monitors do more harm than good.. .Just go to your appointments, get the news they tell you, and try to relax in between (trust me, I KNOW HOW HARD IT IS!!) ... but the stress that this is adding to your life right now isn't healthy either.
Unless the doctor have given you a reason to worry about the heart rate, you shouldn't be worried about it either. You are getting weekly sonos. If there is a problem, they'll let you know.
