Besides baby food, my DD has had yogurt and puffs. I plan to start adding small pieces of stuff next week (cheese, banana, pasta).

My little guy eats chicken (finely shredded pieces), avocado, watermelon, canteloupe, black beans, pears, bits of muffin....I give him pretty much anything he reaches for and tries to eat himself, we make it a point to sit him at the table with us whenever we eat.
The key is to just do little tastes, I'm in a believer in "food before 1 is just for fun" and allow him to sample to develop his palate. The bulk of his nutrition comes from breast milk.
