Re: what is your 7-8 month doing?
Well, DS just turned 9 months Sunday
finally sat on his own - 8.5 months
has been eating table food since 7.5 months and since last month just mainly table food with some cereal for breakfast or banana yogurt, fruits, steamed veggies, all meats, puffs, cheerios
not yet crawling, but gets on his hands and knees and rocking. Maybe soon
claps, says "mama" sometimes... rolls everywhere. Especially when I'm getting him dressed or changing a diaper

Re: what is your 7-8 month doing?
DS is 7 months.
Hes been sitting on his own for over a month now but not crawling. He doesnt even roll all over the place. He has zero interesting in mobility. Im OK with that for now!
He eats 3 meals (puree and oatmeal) a day and takes 4 6oz bottles. I have only given him Mum Mums at this point.
He drinks great out of a straw sippy (water).
He goes down for the night at 7pm and sleeps until about 8am.
He loves to squeal....I dont love when he squeals..lol
He says Baba but thats about it and he has no clue what it really means.
He waves bye bye when you do it but again, has no clue what it means.
Still taking 2 naps a day about 1hr a piece.
ETA: DS was 23lbs at his 7 months appointment. Hes a BIG boy. He has 2 bottom teeth.

Re: what is your 7-8 month doing?
DD will be 8 months old in one week.
She eats two meals a day plus bf five times. She is not a big fan of food at this point, and only really likes sweet potatoes, pears, oatmeal, butternut squash and sometimes apples. We have only done purees though.
Will drink water from a straw cup
Wants to stand all.the.time, and gets mad when she isn't standing. Gets into crawl position sporadically, and will squirm crawl backwards, but mostly wants to stand.
In the last week she started babbling (mom mom and baba. Heard some d sounds today) and pulling to a stand (not always successful)
Naps are horrid and we will probably need to CIO for them soon. She had colic and still can't self sooth. Rocking takes longer and longer or just fails. Ugh!
Waves hi and bye if she is in the mood.
Eta - she has two teeth
She is a peanut, not yet 17 lbs.

Re: what is your 7-8 month doing?
7.5 months:
- crawling like a maniac and pulling up on everything in sight and has climbed two steps without help - 2 teeth, looks like a third might be coming soon - was STTN for about a month until teething hit hard, now we are back to one wakeup - we are on purees (have done apple, pear, mango, peaches, avocado, banana, green beans, peas, carrots, sweet potato, squash, steel cut oats, zucchini, broccoli, and chicken) and i'd like to introduce puffs and more meats soon. gnaws on banana - babababa dadadada and occasionally mamamama but don't think they are connected to anything meaningful - we are working on clapping. i've seen it a few times but we're not really there yet. slapping things is a favorite pasttime - we are teetering between 2 and 3 naps - HATES being changed and will try to roll over and crawl off the changing pad. we keep a supply of new and exciting things to hand during diaper changes

Re: what is your 7-8 month doing?
Liam just turned 7 months old on the 25th.
He eats all the time, oatmeal, puffs, cheerios, string cheese or whole wheat crackers and bananas.
Doesn't sit up on his own but rolls everywhere, always want to move
Says mama all the time
Drinks 4 6oz bottles a day, i was told no water so we haven't started that yet. I just bought him a trainer sippy cup to try out.
he takes 2 naps a day 1.5-2 hours each...most of the time
Sleeping was insane the first 6 months, bed at 7pm and would wake every 45-minutes to an hour....for the first 6 months. he just recently started sleeping 3 hours stretches at night and last night was the first night since August i only got up once with him so major improvement.
He is a big boy, 7 months and 20 lbs. My OB called him a monster when we was trying to get him out so we figured he would keep the pace up, lol!

Re: what is your 7-8 month doing?
Ds is 7 1/2 months. He's been sitting on his own since 5 months. He eats 3 meals a day. Usually fruit with oatmeal for breakfast. Veggie for lunch. Protein for dinner. Somedays I give him yogurt which he loves! He drinks 5 5-6 oz bottles a day. He has no interest in crawling but loves to stand holding on to something or someone. He takes 2-3 naps a day. Anywhere between 45 mins - 1 hour. He goes to bed at 9 & wakes at 7. Lately he's been waking in the middle of the night a couple of times for his paci. He doesn't have any teeth yet but he's teething like a mad man. He says da da & ma ma & sometimes waves bye bye. Not sure how much he weighs now but at his 6 month check up he weighed 20 lbs 10 ozs! He's a big boy & I love his chubbiness!

Re: what is your 7-8 month doing?
8 months
No teeth
No crawling
Just started sitting and still topples over often
He sleeps great... 12 hours a night. 6:30 p.m. or 7:00 p.m. bedtime.
Fights naps terribly. Still napping in swing. Cries in crib for naptime and I'm afraid to push it and mess up his bedtime which is so great.
Sometimes wakes once for paci, but most often you don't hear from him until morning.
He was eating three meals a day and have 4 7 oz. bottles. His appetitie lately has significantly decreased. Not finishing his bottles and not finishing his meals... sometimes not finishing even half. Don't know what's going on with that...
