What is this symbol?

every couple of months it shows up above my "Read" mail icon on AOL. Its RED
is it a bug? anyone ever see it?

well, the </b> part of it in html language means to end a bold, not sure why there is a : before it...
my guess is that it is html, that got messed up or your computer is not reading properly.
