You should NEVER apply butter to any type of burn.

It makes it worse and causes infection. Applying butter is an old wives tale.

Aloe directly from the plant. It always worked better for me than the gel from a bottle. I burned myself with an iron quite badly a few years back and using the aloe plant prevented what could have been a very bad scar.

I swear this works - it's been passed down from my great grandmother. but you need to do it right away after you get burned.

crack open an egg and discard everything but the shell. there is a membrane inside the egg shell - peel it off and put it on your burn. within a minute or less it will adhere to the burn and instantly heal. I couldn't believe it the 1st time I tried it. it WORKS! and it takes the pain away too.
