What is army crawling?
I have seen that a lot of babies on here just started doing this-- I assume it's the step before crawling. What exactly does it look like?

Its when their bellys are on the ground, and they move their arms like they are swimming....its what they learn in the army when they have to go under the rope and such

They crawl by pulling themselves along with their arms but still drag their legs.

great description. But I'll add that it also may look like they've been shot in the arm.

Ditto to the above, but my DS used to only move one leg, so it looked like he didn't have the use of one of his legs. He looked like a casualty.

My daughter does this and it is comical..she can go really fast..and go from room to room..tonight she went right out the back door, lol...they get frustrated by it though, at least my DD does..she is up on all 4's rocking away and will move a second and fall right down..hasnt mastered full on crawling yet..i can say, army crawling gets them moving and if they can do it fast watch out..dd gets stuck under the table, you name it
