What is acceptable total bedrest?

Sometimes I don't know if I'm properly executing "bed rest".

These are my positions:

MY BED (left or right side with body pillow). (Most comfortable!)

SOFA BED - not as comfortable and usually propped up with pillows, which I feel guilty about. Laying on back or sides.

LAYING ON COUCH - on side leaning against pillows, but I sometimes feel almost too upright. Or laying on back.

IN LAZY BOY type recliner, reclined as much as possible.

OR SITTING ON COUCH WITH MY FEET STRAIGHT OUT RESTING ON OTTOMAN.

Are any of the above not "bedrest" enough to take the pressure off the cervix?

My OB said it's the sitting that puts too much pressure on the cervix so simply putting your feet up isn't enough. I cheat though sometimes and put my feet straight out. Laying down all day is hard!

I only lay in bed at night to sleep. I usually stay on the couch on my back or on my left side.

Thanks! I know... that's why I put it out there. I do feel like I'm "cheating" when I sit with my legs resting on something straight out... or even when I'm propped up with pillows!

Sometimes, I go on my love seat and spread out there with my feet on one arm rest and my upper back supported by the other. I'm not sure if it's cheating but I can't function all day laying flat. I'll lay flat if I'm watching TV or reading or someting. I try to do that in at least hour intervals a few times a day.

The sitting straight up with feet on ottoman is not enough. Up to recliner was enough! When in the recliner, try to put some pillows under your knees.
