What is a reasonable time
What do you think would be a reasonable time for a prospective photographer to get back to you? I have been contacting possible newborn photographers all week and some one the ones that I really like are just not contacting me back.

48 hours to a week...do you like them on facebook? sometimes they update why they are slow on responding...sometimes things go to spam and you need to re-send.

check your spam folder.
Personally anything over 24hrs would bother me and id probably not go with them.

I was left waiting by a few people as well. While I would love a response within 24 hours I realized that a lot of these people have their businesses on the side plus families of their own. In the end I didn't hold it against any of them.

i dont know it annoys me i think anything pusing more than a week i would move on. If they dont have time to answer an email with in a week I feel they are overbooked.
with that said though i would send a follow up email asking if they got my email my photographer didnt get back to me until i sent a message thorugh her site not sure if she got my email i sent directly from my account.

It doesnt hurt to Email again after like 4-5 days. Sometimes stuff goes to spam. Or they read from their phone and its marked read in email so they forget to reply from the computer where they have the info they send out.
