What is a good size bedroom?
Lots of posts about 9x10 being small.
I am looking at house with 11x13 and 12x12.5 bedrooms. I'd really like DD to use her full size bed (convertible crib) and still have a little room to play. I don't know if it's big enough though. No furniture in house now to give a picture... Also, the windows are low (too low to put a dresser under) so that limits layout. Probably can't have a bed alongside a wall either.
Anyway, what is a good size bedroom?

Disclaimer this is Texas:
When house shopping I noticed a trend. SUPER HUGE master suites/bedrooms but tiny spares and secondary bedrooms.
Within my price range all 2nd & 3rd bedrooms were 10X11 or 11X12 (max). I hated it! Master bedrooms were just freaking crazy large!
Finally we settled on what I thought my daughter could grow into. Her room is 14X12 I believe (I forget). To me that is about right. I just wish she had a walk in closet. She has a full size bed, dresser, ikea cube system and a wall for larger toys. Plenty of room. It was the whole reason we bought the house.
Our 3rd room is that 10X11 ugh.. It fit a full size, a small dresser, and TV stand.. That's about it.
Our master bedroom is 'small' by the standards here but after living in NY for a decade we feel we have plenty of space! I know her room and ours are the same in length but our room is 2-4 feet wider with a walkin. She has the largest bedroom of all of her friends while we have the smallest house and smallest total number of square feet overall.
So we bought the house for her room :D LOL

10 X 10 is small, but I think for a kid that's doable, I grew up in Valley Stream where the houses are much smaller and closer together and I had a lot of friends who had bedrooms that small, even smaller.
Our bedrooms upstairs are about 14 x 20 and that's comfortable for us, I feel any bigger and it would be a major waste of space.

Wow, even the master of this house isn't 14x20. Are you in Nassau? I'm not finding anything like that where we have been looking. I might have to look in other towns...
