"What I'm happy for" thread

Despite it being the anniversary of 9/11, and the biggest hurricane to hit the East Coast in 30 years is coming this week, there's got to be some good things going on that we can be happy about.

I'm happy that our company's semi-annual blood drive is next week, so I'll be donating again very soon.

That both of my kids love their teachers and their classes.

That I had a colonoscopy and endoscopy recently (because I've been very sick with Crohn's) and nothing scary was found

That my children have 4 grandparents (lucky enough right there) that would do anything for them

That I m currently drinking a perfect cup of iced coffee

And finally that it's only a 3 day week (I'm a teacher- nice ease into the year)

Re: "What I'm happy for" thread

I’m happy that I got to have brunch with 2 good friends to catch up.

I’m happy that even though today always makes me cry, it’s also my MILs birthday so we get to celebrate something good every year on this day.

I’m happy My dog is beginning to feel better after hurting his neck the other day.

Re: "What I'm happy for" thread

as much as i love our "first world problem" threads, these are awesome!

i'm happy that everyone i love is healthy.

i'm happy that i got to spend one-on-one time with DS, this past weekend... and during that time, we had a heart-to-heart conversation about his future. this is something i would have never done with either of my parents.

i'm happy that yesterday SO sent me a text telling me that he thinks i'm sexy.

i'm happy that i'm about 50% done with my christmas shopping.

i'm happy that the issues i was having with my left knee seem to be resolving themselves and i'm back to my evening walks. not being able to walk scared the hell out of me and made me value mobility like never before.

i'm happy that SO is almost finished making my She Shed and i'll have a small, private corner to play with all my crafts and to store all my couponing junk.

I just reached the five-year milestone of when I was diagnosed with cancer. I’ve been considered NED (No Evidence of Disease) for years now and hitting the five-year mark is a MAJOR milestone for the type of cancer I had.

Re: "What I'm happy for" thread

I’m happy that my “withdrawals” from Effexor finally stopped after a year this week. I was shaking and sick for over a year.

I’m happy that I got to see SO after not seeing him for 3 weeks because he went on a camper van trip with his dad. However, he mentioned me coming next year, and I wasn’t crazy about that idea.

I’m happy that it was Polish week at Lidl and I bought a lot of pierogi and cabbage rolls.

I’m happy that I finally can get my convertible working.

I am happy for:

My husband who I am lucky enough to call my best friend.

Two happy, healthy, well adjusted kids.

A roof over my head.

Family.

That it's almost fall which IMO is the most glorious and amazing time of year.

That the holidays are upon us.

That in 87 days I'll be in WDW to celebrate my 20th wedding anniversary.

That it's soon to be apple and pumpkin season.
