what if the drs are wrong?...
I just keep thinking what if the drs are wrong. What if its not my NK cells, etc... Or "just" that...? What if its an issue w/ the placenta not being able to embed or something else all together? How do I have these 2 great drs, one of whom does specialties that most other drs don't even believe in.... And I've gotten pregnant 3 times while under his care, and had 3 miscarriages under his care, besides the 3 I had before him. I feel like I'm a lost cause... I remember being the "easy fix" so to speak when I joined this board years ago... I was young and just.had pcos against me supposedly... I was told how is be.off the board so quickly, and here I am. I just.don't understand... I have no clue where we go from here either... And DH doesn't want to talking about it.

Re: what if the drs are wrong?...
Im soo sorry you are going through all this! I have no words except don't give up. This is coming from someone who was never pregnant and did 5 IVFs before finally for the first time ever got pregnant at 35. I know what it is like to feel like it is never going to happen and it will happen. I know it doesn't feel like that right not but you will have your baby. I saw 4 specialists before this doctor that helped me get pregnant. Sometimes another consult or a different doctor can help bring light into the situation. As for DH not talking about it my DH couldn't either. They see our pain and they also have their own pain that they are dealing with. It is tough for everyone. Im thinking of you!!

Re: what if the drs are wrong?...
Again, I am so so sorry you are going through this. This is so much more than anyone should ever have to go through I think you have a right to question things at this point, because they very well could be missing something.
I hope you don't mind, but I found an article about immune problems causing miscarriage and a different treatment approach. I want so badly to be able to help you, and this is the only way I know how If nothing else, this article seems very informative about the different immune issues, and if you're serious about questioning your doctors maybe this can help with some questions or lead you in a different direction.
I know not everyone believes in eastern medicine (acupuncture & herbs), but there seems to be a lot of information online about it and treating immune issues while pregnant.
I hope you find some answers, and I'm so very sorry
Combining and East meets West approaddch to the treatment of miscarriage

I'm so sorry you're going through this. I think its completely normal to question everything. When you've been trying for so long and still getting the same results how can you not want to question it all? You will get pass this stage and move on to the next step...whatever that is, it will be the right thing for you and DH.

Re: what if the drs are wrong?...
I don't think anyone but God has the answers. No matter how many years of medical schooling a doctor has. I was dx unexplained.(slight elevated NK cells) I tried for years, multiple IVFs, multiple losses. Lots of questions, no answers.
I had many many nights where I seriously doubted if I was ever going to be a mom.
Every time a cycle failed my husband would say "there is always hope, as long as you and I are breathing, there is hope"
I changed doctors, changed up the protocol, and it worked. Maybe it was just a numbers game, maybe it was just My boys time to be born.
Have you considered cycling at CCRM. It has the best stats in the country.
Miracles happen every day. I promise.
Don't give up. Don't give up. Don't give up. Have hope.

agree word for word. nothing you did was wrong - nothing the drs did were wrong. you will never get answers bc its God who has them. I agree with maybemommy10 maybe changing drs different protocol different opinions may help. maybe something is being missed. these are ALL maybes
i have heard wonderful things about ccrm as well
if u need to talk or just get out call me -- we can get together have a cup of coffee and just talk cry scream vent
many for you.. take this time to emotionally heal - its not the right time to start asking why bc it will only prolong the healing process

Re: what if the drs are wrong?...
I'm so sorry, Shannon. I think maybe you should sit down with both of your doctors and explain what you're thinking. Maybe they KNOW it's not those things because of some test they ran, BW they saw, something in the sono. You won't know unless you ask.
I hope you can find some answers. You and your husband are in my prayers.

Re: what if the drs are wrong?...
Aww Shannon. I'm so very sorry from the bottom of my heart. I know those feelings, I've felt them, I've fought them and ultimately, I've accepted them. Unfortunately, this road, journey, whatever you want to call it, isnt easy.
Like what the pps said, don't give up. Have hope, keep the faith. Do what you have to do to grieve, be angry, heal so you can move on with that fight that you started out with. Heck I've been all over the city and phones with consults, telling everyone my story. It helps to take a step back from the chaos and non stop running from a cycle to reboot your positivity. I too agree that there is only one that has the answers. After all science isn't an exact science.
Thinking of you.

Re: what if the drs are wrong?...
I know you (and DH) are at the end of your rope right now. It's normal to question EVERYTHING and second guess yourself, doctors, meds, anything you can think of. All I can say is do as much of your own research as possible, explore un-popular methods and protocols and BE YOUR OWN BEST ADVOCATE! Question everything, offer what isn't being offered, consult with multiple Drs if need be. Unfortunately, IF doesn't allow you to sit back and be lead...if makes you forge your own path and lead. You are a very strong woman and I believe you will muster the strength to move forward!!

ITA. BTW...CCRM is not Cornell...it is the Colorado Center for Reproductive Medicine in Denver which is widely regarded as the best fertility clinic in the nation. It is where Guiliana Rancic was going when she was diagnosed with breast cancer. It is a LOT of money. They have a mandatory one day workup which alone costs $3,000 but is supposed to be very thorough.

LOL...you are too funny. Actually Cornell does have the exact same abbreviation. Its just that in the IF world, the Colorado center is the center widely called "CCRM.". I also know that the Colorado Center in general has the best stats in the nation...this is why I knew which center she was referring to.

Yes it stands for Colorado Center for Reproductive Medicine. I know several people IRL and on another forum I use to frequent that had success there after many losses. Many of the women who were told "no way, less than 2% chance" go there. I would not give up till I cycled there

That's so funny because I was doing some googling not long ago and came across a cycle specifically for patient of CCRM and my thought was .. WOW Cornell is REALLY popular!!
