What happens if you get sick while you are pregnant?
Just wondering what happens if you get sick while you are pregnant- flu, cold, virus, sinus infection? I feel I could be coming down with something- terrible headache behind the eyes. Do they let you take anything or just ride it out?

I had an ear infection in my first tri.
Basically all you can really take is regular strenght tylenol and ride it out.
However, if you feel you have an infection, call your doc because you may have to go on antibiotics.
Anything more than tylenol, I would get OB approval first.
Try to stay healthy and use a neti pot if you feel sinus probs coming.
My OB lets me take claritin for my allergies.

Pretty much ride it out. I've been riding out a terrible cough and congestion for a month due to allergies and nothing I'm allowed to take helped.

i had an ear ache, sinusitis and strep last month and the Dr. prescribed the "z-pack"
I try to let a cold "ride it out" and it just got worse...I felt much better after I got meds!

i was sick early in my pregnancy and was given 3 options by my ob. i took mucinex-d and it helped.

depending on what it is I was allowed to take claritin and used nasal spray when i was congested and lots of tylenol!

I am riding out a cold as much as possible. I will only take something if it gets unbarable.

I have dealt with allergies and colds through my pregnancy but I did have a very bad sinus infection in my first trimester and I was prescribed z-pack, which is safe.
