what gets done
at 16 wk appt and 20 wk appt?
i see people finding out the sex so early, i thought it was 22 wks... im so confused.
when do i have dh come? he cant get off work much so can only make the major ones

20w was my level 2/anatomy scan.

Its the 2nd part of the NT, they do some measurements to rule out some of the Trisomies ( i cant remember exactly)

16w I had what they said was part 2 of the NT scan. sono and blood and they told us with 90% certainty that it was a boy
20w we went for the level 2 and they confirmed it was a boy. that was not done at my dr's office. I went for a regular appt at the dr at 20w... nothing special other than going over the level 2 results.

boooo i thought all my worrying about test results was over after NT at 12 wks. DAMN
ill have to call to see if there will be a sono and decide from there about DH

I had my 16 week appointment today - It was the AFP scan. Blood and sono. I go back at 18w for another sono and then I have my Level II at 20w. The Level II can be done anywhere from 19w - 22w.

I would DEF call. It's different for each doctor's office. My 16w appt they just took my blood, no sono.
My Anatomy Scan is being done at 18.5 weeks and my next doctor appt is I think at 21/22 weeks. The anatomy scan will be a sono but when I go back to the doctor they will just give me the results of all my tests, no sono.
I asked my doctor's office when I made the appts, this way DH doesn't take off from work each time and I can make the appts accordingly.

what gets done
For me:
12w NT scan with blood from finger prick to test for chromo abnormalities
16w was AFP (blood test for Spina Bifida) no sono. Reg visit & went over NT sono & blood results.
18w4day (tomorrow) Im having a Level II sono. No blood work.
