what exactly is an internal?
i have done infertility treatments etc...so is an internal really that bad? isnt it just a few fingers up there for a couple minutes??
i hear everyone saying internals hurt so much...just curious what its really like! tia!

That's exactly what it is. I definitely find it uncomfortable but bearable. Sometimes it feels like she's digging for gold up there but its over pretty quick!

Just a little uncomfortable, but not bad at all. It is over so quick.
I feel like it hurt a bit more during my first pregnancy. Not sure why. It still wasn't that bad though.

depends on the Dr. My dr is gentle but the Dr that did one when I was in the hospital was not and it was painful

Yes, it's just a very quick thing.
I think for me what hurts afterwards is my cervix. It sounds totally weird but you can almost feel it hurting on the inside there. I think it's because they press around on it to see if it is thinning, dialating, and as it is there is already a 7lb baby's head resting on it from the other side...so it just makes it uncomfortable.
But it's not as bad as we sometimes make it out to be.
