What does your landscaping contract include?

I want to get get somone in to do our landscaping. DH's schedule is crazy b/c of work and we only are both home on Sundays and now that it's summer we have a party of something almost every weekend.

I know sometimes landscapers can rope you into adding things on. I dont want the lawn fertilized or anything like that b/c I have kids and dogs. I would need the spring/fall clean-ups and weekly maintenace. What does the weekely maintenance include...mowing and weeding? Will they trim tree's and bushes if needed?

I don't have a "contract" I have learned to tell them exactly what I want or else they do everything and I get a huge bill. If you want them to just cut the lawn it should be b/t 20-35 week depending on your property size.They will edge and blow leaves off the lawn for that price. If you want/need fertilizer that would cost extra and trimming bushes and cleaning out beds would be a separate charge as well....HTH

Ours calls for mowing, edging and blowing, but the edging is just taking a weedwacker and triming the grass, not cutting in and defining the beds.

Our fertilization contract is separate. We had been doing organic but it wasn't doing squat on the weeds. The lawn was looking worse and worse every year. This year we went with the regular pre-emergent weed kill and treatments but it's not doing much better - still early so I'm hopeful.

If we want fall or spring clean ups that's separate too. We get mailings from time to time asking about various exta services and it's up to us to add them on or not.
