What does your DC wear to daycare?
My ex-H thinks that my 3 year old should wear jeans/pants to daycare. I think he's 3 - let him be comfy, plus sweats are easier to pull down for the bathroom. Ex-H said sweats are like PJ's...obviously we disagree.
Plus, 1/2 the time I think his teacher ran out of paper because so much paint in on his clothes (its an anti-smock school )
(Sorry mom's of girls - no dress option) - We both agree DS shouldn't wear a dress

90% of the time DD is wearing leggings/sweats/"play" clothes. Every once in a while I will put her in jeans/dress but it's usually too restrictive. DD is 22 months old.

a combo of all of the above. i try to keep him as comfy as possible but i want him to look nice too
today, he is wearing osk kosh shortalls with a short sleeved "hunk" t and sandals. its hot in his room and he overheats easily.
i keep tees, shorts and comfy pants in his bin. he is rarely wearing the same outfit all day.

Re: What does your DC wear to daycare?
My son specifically requests to wear "soft pants" every day. This is his term for sweat pants.
In order to get him in a pair of jeans I have to distract, trick or bribe him. So I save those fights for when I really need him to dress up! (He will be 4 in September)
Personally, if he wants to wear sweats every day, I couldn't care less. I want him to be comfortable. He's playing all day long. I wouldn't want to play in jeans.
Although now that it's starting to get warmer, he will be wearing shorts... sweat ones, not nice ones!

Re: What does your DC wear to daycare?
I had this same argument with DH about DD. I do want her to look nice but I also understand that they are playing and may be getting messy. Since you can't just throw a dress on your DS , I would probably do cute comfy clothes. Like sweats with a cute matching shirt or khakis or something. I agree with you , I think jeans may be more difficult for him to get on and off when he has to go to the bathroom.

Wonder if our kids know each other - DS wants "soft pants" too!!!
DS still naps too - I don't like napping in jeans.
I bought DS "sweat" shorts too - the cotton ones.

Re: What does your DC wear to daycare?
I dress my girls up for daycare. They wear leggings and long shirts, jeans, dresses, skirts. I haven't sent them in sweats. When I had a nanny, I didn't like her to dress them in sweats during the day. This is really just my way of doing it though. For me, I want them to think of daycare like school, and want them to learn to get dressed in the mornings. I want them to be used to dressier clothes so that they are comfortable in them and don't feel like it is a chore to get dressed. I want them to enjoy picking out clothes. My 2.5 year old walked into her class this morning and asked her teacher if she liked her outfit. She was smiling and said I look pretty. she enjoys dressing up. We all stay in sweats on sundays, but the rest of the week, we dress up a little.

ITA!
I like him to look nice and he never complains in jeans. WHatever is in his drawer and is clean. Most of his clothes that he wears to daycare are Childrens Place and Target. They have really cute stuff too. I avoid prints. Once in a while I put him in something nicer (either we have to do laundry or it's some special party in school)
