What does this mean (in a listing)?
Saw this in an MLSLI listing and was wondering what to make of it?
Property Sold 'As -Is' No Representation Made As To Condition, Building Size, Lot Size. All Information Deemed Reliable But Not Guranteed, Buyers Must Verify All Information.
Thanks!

My Aunt is selling her house "as is"
The buyers can't get an engineer. Whatever the problems are, they have to just deal with it when they buy it.
She had it on the market for over a year and needs to get out desperatly but the only offer that came in is so low that she can't afford to take off anymore money from whatever findings the engineer sees.

our first was as is and it wasn't a mess at all - just outdated. It was a son selling his parents house and he wanted an easy selling process.
you can get an inspector (and should) so you are aware of what the issues are, but the seller is saying - the price you negotiate will not change after the inspection and they don't have to fix anything before closing.

Re: What does this mean (in a listing)?
I agree about not negotiating the price, regardless of what the inspection finds.
If you see pics and it looks ok and would be willing to put a new roof on, or sump pump in, etc. for the right price, you should go see it. If they're saying as-is up front, they may tell you exactly what the issues are.
I would never buy a house without an inspection though, which may be money down the drain if there are a lot of problems with it.
We bid on a house with a major foundation problem that we didn't know about until inspection day. The final price before it went off MLS (unsold) was 100k lower than original asking. So if you have the incentive and means to fix it up, it may be good for you.

Re: What does this mean (in a listing)?
Sometimes there is something in the house that doesn't have a certificate of occupancy like a 2nd bathroom or a garage or something and that is why it is sold "as is"

honestly thats info for other REA's. that agent must've entered the info in the wrong spot on MLS. cause thats generally info for REA's to make sure that the agent working with the buyer double checks all info given on the listing, that way they are not liable for any errors.
dont be scared by something like that. its basically a common thing that all REA's put on their listings but only for the REA's eyes to see. nothing in life is set in stone...all things are negotiable even when they say they arent.
