I am trying to be more healthy so I am more fertile LOL. Wanted to see what any of you are eating.
I have been trying to eat even more veggies (as is I eat a lot, its my fav), even started eating avocado which I really hate and turned out to be not so bad LOL. started eating more eggs, olive oil as topping instead of anything else I used to eat, some fruits - this has been a struggle as I don't like that much. Also DH been making lots of protein rich dishes - chicken, fish, meat. Been drinking juices like pineapple too.
I also stopped drinking coffee and Dr told me to avoid high sugary food.

so what else should I be eating? what are u guys try to eat and what do u avoid?

Re: what does everyone eat?

I've been trying to eat healthier too. I'm trying to cut back on the sugar-which is very hard for me because I love my sweets! Plus sugar is added to everything. Every product you look at seems to have sugar added. I'm also cutting back on carbs and all processed food/food with chemicals and hormones. When I have dairy I have full fat. Almost everything I buy is organic.

I've been researching a lot of paleo and clean recipes and using those. Like you I'm trying to eat lots of vegetables and fruit. Now when I want a snack I'll try to have carrots and hummus, almonds, banana with almond butter. Who knows if it works but it does make my body feel better.

It's nice to know I'm not the only one driving myself crazy about what to eat Chat Icon

Re: what does everyone eat?

I have cut back on heavy carbs, processed foods, and anything with added soy being that my estrogen is naturally very high. Also sugary drinks and cold things. I have been drinking more teas, eating more soups and warm foods. I have been eating flax to try and regulate my estrogen along with eating tons of fresh veggies, fruits and fiber to increase motility. My general dr always says there is a huge connection to heavy gluten diets and infertility so I have also gone semi-gluten free. Trying my best over here!

oh and wheat grass... tons of the stuff...lol

Chicken, salmon, turkey burgers, salads, asparagus, zucchinni, eggplant. I have been on a green smoothie kick so I have bought Kale and spinach to make a smoothie. Surprisingly, it was delish!!

All kinds of fruits. My favorite snacks are crackers w/peanut butter.

I have weaned off of coffee but I still have a cup or two a week to satisfy craving.

The paleo diet focuses on eating whole, real foods-in reference to the type of diet people ate during the paleolithic era.

I love this website:
Elana's Pantry
She does mostly gluten-free, sugar-free recipes and there is a tab for special diets-gluten free, paleo, etc.

Re: what does everyone eat?

I have endometriosis, so I am looking into cutting red meat, dairy, and gluten as all seem to aggravate endo. It is going to be hard, but I hope it will be worth it in the end.
