What do you usually write in a card when...
What do you usually write in a card when your friends have a baby/their first child?
I feel like I'm always stumped for what to say and wind up saying something really cheesy.

I would just write something simple like "Congratulations on the birth of your new daughter/son. We're so happy for you!!"

how about something like:
Welcome to the world (insert baby name here)!! May you enjoy your new little miracle!
not sure if that's too generic for you.
