What do you think about registering at 3 places?
I have most of my registery at BBB however, the sheets I want and a few other things are at BRU and I want to register there also because I know there are a lot more of them and so it will be more convenient for people to buy from there. But, I just saw that I can get 10% off stuff at Pottery Barn Kids that is not purchased off my registry - originally i was just going to buy the stuff i wanted there myself but now i am thinking of registering because of the discount. Does it matter if I register at three places or does that seem overdone and will my friends/family think i am asking for too much? TIA

I registered at 2 places BBB and BRU. I ended up transfering all to BRU. More stores, online viewing is much easier, etc....
Just make sure the stores you pick are easy for people to shop at.

You can do whatever you want.
You could always register at PBK to get the 10% off and buy that stuff yourself.
I only had one registry and not a ton of people bought off of it, I got the major things, but none of the little things (which is fine, people were very generous)

I agree - do whatever you want. I registered at three places but didn't tell anyone about BBB - I just wanted to get on the mailing list. Maybe you could do the same with PBK - register but don't announce it in the invites. At the end you will still get the 10%, right?

3 may be too much. 2 is just right. Its gives people choices, also some things u want at one store the other may not have. Alot of items (certain brands) I want BBB carries but not BRU.

Re: What do you think about registering at 3 places?
I thought about this and decided to limit the registry to two places...but I don't think its a big deal at all. People will shop where its convienient regardless. I know if I got a shower invite w/3 registries I wouldn't think twice about it. In fact, I may even be happy since I am a last minute shopper and I'd hope that there might be some good items left to buy! Not only that, but it gives the person an extra place to buy you a gift cert. if necessary. I may still add PBK to mine also.

I agree, only put the things you intended to buy on PBK and then just buy it and get the discount. The more registries, the harder for some guests to navigate though! I thought about registering at BBB until I realized how few of the stores there are. If your guests aren't all internet savvy, they might get frustrated with multiple regisitries, especiallly to stores with limited locations.

Re: What do you think about registering at 3 places?
I think the more places you register the more chances you take for duplicate items. One item may be on your registry at say BRU, but then the person is at BBB, and sees a similar item, and gets it there...just my thought...more returning for you after the shower.
