what do you take/do when you are sick?

i feel horrible. woke up with a sore throat, sneezing, runny nose, headache.
what are some home remedies that HELPED you?

I am just about getting over a cold.. although my doc's office did say I could take meds, I chose not to.

I had lots of very hot chicken soup, and tea, kept well hydrated with water, tea and OJ. I also used breathe right strips at night to help with the stuffiness and saline spray. It all helped a little but pretty much just had to let the cold run its course.

Im a nervous nelly so I wouldnt take anything. But I drank TONS of decaf tea with lemon and honey. Lots of water and had my dh take care of Lara at night while i get some extra needed rest.

I don't take anything either! It stinks! I'm just getting over being sick too so I feel for you!!!

I also try to get in fresh oranges, kiwi and strawberries.. extra Vitamin C has to help. I've had the worst nasal congestion, allergies ever.. and lately I can't even breathe through my nose.. I feel your pain. Feel better.

You can take regular sudafed and regular robitussen from what I remember my doctor telling me.

But I woke up feeling carpy today too with an ear ache and a super sore throat so I am just going to the dr! I want to make sure that whatever I take is safe, and I don't want to feel like carp for the next 2 weeks!
