What do you pay for storage fees for your frozen embies?
This is actually a spin-off question from another board...
Just payed my bill for the year and it was $585 for the year if you pay up front , or $780 if you make monthly payments ....They give you 3 months of free storage if you pay by Jan 30th...
It looks like from some of what the other girls are paying, I am getting quite a discount 
Should that worry me  ?

Umm I am even more worried.
I have never gotten a bill for this and just assumed my insurance was covering it.
anyone have empire nyship and know?

Is it possible you payed the first years storage up front ?
I "think" I had payed the first 6 months up front, because I got a bill mid-year and then just got my bill for 2010 a couple of weeks ago....

No... I have never paid them anything...its all covered through my insurance (I am so thankful for this every single day) so I sure as heck would have known if I shelled out hundreds of dollars in the beginning.

I paid $850. It was part of the upfront cost of the IVF cycle.

No... I have never paid them anything...its all covered through my insurance (I am so thankful for this every single day) so I sure as heck would have known if I shelled out hundreds of dollars in the beginning.
You are SO very lucky in that regard !
I'm thinking then that your storage fee's must be covered too ( unless its just your initial year's storage fee's are covered and you will be billed for this year)...
I'd call to put yourself at ease ..

Sometimes they give you the 1st year free - that maybe why you havent gotten a bill.
Mine is around 600 and at SIRM it was 700 I think, but when I moved them over to AFS they gave me the 1st year free also =)

ours was $1100 for the initial freezing and first year of storage... then I think $600/year after that (to be paid quarterly)

I think the first six months were free and then it si $100 per month.
I have Empire NYSHIP and they told me that the storage fees were covered.

I THINK LI IVF said that your first year of freezing embryos is included in your IVF cycle... i could be wrong though....
