WHAT do you have a soft spot for ? and why ?
I'll start...
Grandparents...mine were so powerful in my life, that I take grandparent/grandchildren relationships to heart and make sure my kids are very close to their grandparents.
children- way way wayyy before having my own, Ive always been amazed by the little creatures that they are  the things they say, what they are thinking.. they cease to amaze me...
and now that Ive been in the field of education, im hoping to work with children with special needs, Ive learned so much and realized how much more there is to learn, and what differences need to be made...
cant think of any others right now...

Old people. I miss my grandparents so much - I lost them both last year. I treat all old people with the same respect I treated my grandparents with - because truly, who knows more about life than a 90 year-old?

New moms and just moms of young children in general. I know how hard it is. Some days it's damn near impossible to be a mother and a human being all at once. I know that all too well. So, I try to give other moms the benefit of the doubt as much as I can.

Dogs...Had them growing up and we (my brothers and I) had such a great childhood with our family dogs!

Animals...they have no control over their situations and when they are treated badly my heart breaks for them.
Babies and Small Children...they are so innocent and open and they are the sweetest things you can be around.

Underdogs. I almost always route for the underdog.
College seniors on sports teams who lose the championships. Knowing for most of them they won't become pro athletes and that was the last chance they had.

Children of all ages. Love them.
I worked in McDonald's for years as a manager. Wanted to do something different and went into child care!
The hours were long, job got very stressful at times, but I always looked forward to going to the kids.
Now, having a DS of my own and neices and nephews, my heart is even bigger for them.
I said to DH yesterday, it's amazing how much love you can have for these little kids.

My husband and when he dances.
Redheaded children, especially redheaded boys. I know the ridicule they will go through. They will learn to appreciate being a stand out but not until much later in life.
Young children and their innocence. Especially ones that aren't afraid to hug and show their love openly.
Animals, especially dogs, and particularly Labs.
The quiet and serenity of nature.
Beautiful, intricate flowers.
The smell of spring, fresh cut grass, and newly tended earth.
The sound of birds singing.

In addition to things others have mentioned like kids and animals, I have a soft spot for charities. Anytime anyone is colllecting money for a charity, I give. If DARE is outside a store collecting money, I give. If some kids come to my door raising money for their school, I give.
Sometimes I feel like such a sucker, but I can't help it!

I can totally relate to this- I was one of them!!!
Also- dogs. Ever since I got one, my whole outook on dogs changed.

Elderly people in general, not just my own grandparents (who are passed away and I miss everyday). I detest that so many people treat them like they are not worthy of respect or to be allowed to have their dignity. Like all they are good for is what $$ they leave behind.
