What do you do when your older toddlers have a bad cough?
Megan is fine during the day but at night, her cough is awful. I feel so bad because she cant get any sleep. Shes fine other than the cough.
Last night, I propped her up, put vics on her chest and the soles of her feet and put the humidifier on. It helped a little but not much. I dont want to give her any medicine because theres nothing else wrong with her. Any other ideas?

When it got really bad, I'd steam up the bathroom and sit in there for 15 minutes with her. It would clear up the stuffed nose and help with the cough a little.

I do vapor bath as well..Also I give them some a tsp of honey about an hour before bed..natural remedy for coughing.
We've had a bad cough here for over 2 weeks-both girls, nothing else is wrong either.

I've done the above as well. The honey thing worked really well for us. I used a homeopathic, honey cough syrup. I think it was by Hyland's. DD loved it and it definitely helped with the cough. I used that combined with propping her head up & running the humidifier.
