what do you do when their schedule gets thrown off?
Like this morning Luca had breakfast about 8am and he usually has it at 7am. Do you push their schedule an hour ahead all day long? Or do you try to get them back on their "normal" schedule?
I tend the take 10-15 minutes off of each feeding to get him back on schedule. He eats every 3 hours, so instead of feeding him at 11am, I will try to feed him at 10:45ish and so on for the rest of the day, so that he still goes to bed on time.

i try to go along with my dc b/c if we are out sometimes it's hard to stay on schedule.

I think what you're doing is good - I would do the same - take off time here and there until you are back to the regular time. Or you can just keep the schedule he's on and feed him a little less at the bottle before his bedtime bottle. And then even though it might only be 2 or 2/1/2 hours in between he might be hungry if he didn't eat alot at the previous feeding. Make sense?

The same thing happened with DS this morning. He ate an hour later than normal. He will usually end up missing a bottle but before he goes to bed I just make sure I give him a couple of ounces to hold him over.

I found that even if they are an hour or so behind, bed time always seemed to work out.

I pretty much go along with it. But, Steven LOVES his schedule and I know that usually if he goes off of it in the morning, he will get himself right back on for the next feeding. So, I normally give him his bottle at 7 am, then he gets cereal around 10 or 11. If he gets his bottle around 8, he still looks for his cereal around 10 or 11.
