what did you give DC for his/her first christmas/hanukkah

and how old was DC at the time?

I can't figure out what to get Eryk he'll be 3 months, and other than a stocking, I can't think of a thing.

I know at 3 months they are more 'lucid' and become a bit more interested in toys... what did your DC like to play with at 3 months?

Odds are I won't HAVE to get Abby anything as she will be showered with gifts from everyone else.

BUT

DH and I may sign her up for either sign language classes or Saf-T-Swim. If not, I may get her a boat load of books. We read to her all the time.

DS was 6 months and got the Laugh and Learn Home from Fisher Price as his "big" gift

DD was born November 10. I was still pretty overwhelmed when I would be Christmas shopping. I think I bought her a few little things, but that was it. She got lots of things from everyone else.

I didn't concern myself much with gifts for his first Hanukah last year. I probably bought a few things as I was doing my other shopping, but the gifts from family were plenty. This year, he will enjoy unwrapping presents, so I hope to do a Hanukah gift each night. He won't know whether the item is expensive, so I will just pick what I feel is suitable. For a 3 month old I would do all sorts of teething toys, rattles, books, a play gym.

DS will be 3.5 months. the only thing I bought him was elmo live. He will receive gifts from our families. next year we will be able to go all out!
