what crib?
We decided on a stanley convertible crib because it's great quality & made in the USA. Well' we thought we decided, then I was thinking that we really don't need a convertible & when she gets a little older she'll probably want a princess bed or something else. In your opinion, it worth it to get a top of the line crib or should we just get a safe crib to save money? Grand total with conversion kit, tax & delivery is about $1000 for the one we wanted

Re: what crib?
We ordered our crib from Restoration Hardware Baby & Child along with the rest of the furniture just cause I wanted a set she could grow into and grow up with. It's a white set with crystal knobs -- more personal preference (Sloane set). We figured when it's time for baby #2 we'll start with a new set for them too.
The crib is costing us $999 plus $119 for the conversion kit, and $65 for the full size bed frame.

Re: what crib?
We decided on a sturdy, inexpensive, but also not as bulky crib that turns into a toddler bed. We are also buying 2 of them and hoping to keep the twins in the same room for as long as possible. Otherwise we loose the room for grandma and grandpa to stay in.
My thoughts are, if they are only going to use it for a few years, make sure it's functional and nice. Save your money for when they have their own opinion. The nursery will still look great.
