Wood Floor question
Can anyone tell me how much it is to sand or stain or refinish hardwood floors and also how long we would need to leave the house?

we just got quoted 1100 for 550 sq feet. I am not sure how long you would need to be out for but they said it would take about 2 or 3 days

I have to check with my DH regarding sq ft, but we just sanded, stained, and put two coats of poly down in our LR, DR, KIT, hallway and 3 BR's for $2700. ( It was a little higher because of the price of wood- we had new wood laid in the kitchen)We had to be out for a week! It still smells a little two weeks later.

i have to go home and ask DH what the square footage was but we paid 750 cash (no tax) for our dining room, living room, porch and stairwell landing
--- and they came out unbelievable - the process took 3 days and they said that you could be abck in 24 hours after the last coat of clear gloss was placed on....
