I think a nice green color would be nice in your kitchen. Maybe saybrook sage?

Re: what color for this kitchen? HELP!
I love the terra cotta! I would also go with a greenish color. We just used sundew which is a greeny gold...check it out. It looks beige on the chip but get a sample and put it on your wall.

I think a light yellow would play off the red accents. Light Bm hawthorne yellow. Saybrook sage would look nice also.

I was thinking a light yellow would be nice with the terra cotta and gives you a lot of options for accessorizing. You can bring in bolder colors in accessories, reds, greens, etc.

Re: what color for this kitchen? HELP!
I think you need to match your floor tile - green/gray won't go with a terra cotta floor. I think a light yellow is the way to go...

Re: what color for this kitchen? HELP!
see, the walls are already light yellow and I don't really like it
maybe something brighter but I dont like really yellow - yellows ... something softer? more creamy?

Re: what color for this kitchen? HELP!
OH and I also failed to mention that the kitchen is partially open to both the LR and DR. We had planned to paint that area Putnam Ivory (which is a creamy/yellow/tan) so I wanted to do something different in the kitchen.
maybe green is the way to go?

Re: what color for this kitchen? HELP!
I think with the white cabinets and stainless appliances, you can go light blue.
That would give it a cottage/beachy/airy type of feel. I think that would look fine with the terra cotta tiled floor... white kitchens with light blue walls are often shown with wood floors, so the terra cotta floors has the same warm tones as the wood.
I personally love that Hamptons/cottage style vibe for a kitchen!

True and I love the blue against the white cabinets.
I have terra cotta the whole ground level of my house and we have a deep tan (no idea what color bc the previous homeowners did it)--and then light blue in the den...looks great!

Re: what color for this kitchen? HELP!
Since the cabinets are white I would do a more bold, dark color on the walls. I think that would look great along with the SS appliances.
