What color accent rug?

K we are just finishing up on painting today and we got the area rugs for the living and dinning room but i am kinda at a loss on what to get for the front bedroom.

I was thinking a red rug - or is it too much? what color you think?

Bedding: it is black and white


Wall Colors: (this was only the first coat and i didn't touch up the corners/etc)


Desk that will be in the room:


over the bed art *most likely - i have it, just not sure if i want it in the bedroom or living room

The bedding looks chocolate to me - so I can't tell if it's black or chocolate/brown...if it's the latter, I'd pull the orange or gold color from the paintings you have and get a rug in that color.

I don't like red with that color green.

I woudn't do red b/c it doesn't seem like there is any in the art. I agree w/PP and pull a color from one of those gorgeous pics...

I would also go with a gold, yellow, or a color along those lines. I feel like the black comforter will stand out really nice with those color walls and those pictures. Too many bold colors may draw your eye into too many directions, KWIM? I dunno if I am explaining myself right

Unless its a really big room I would keep the floor a neutral color but with some texture. There is a lot going on with the bedding and pics, You don't need much on the floor.

yea i think i have to wait until everything is setup. I really do not know where things are going until i have my bed and desk setup in that space.

I look at your pics when I was at home and I think with the bedding and the desk you should go with a neutral rug. Maybe a jute or sisal kind of rug. We have a jute rug with cotton mix and it's softer. We love it, it's what we have in our Family Room. And the pics that you aren't sure about for the BR or the LR, I don't think they go with the desk. The desk is modern. But those other paintings you had posted are gorgeous, I would use those. GL! Wait until the room is set up and then find a rug you like for the room. I know I would hate to buy something that didn't go and then being stuck with it if you couldn't return it anymore.
