DD is going through this right now too...I put bacitracin on twice a day and clean it with water and a waschloth at night and put the earing through for a few seconds just so the hole doesn't close up....

My mom used to clean mine with peroxide. We also had these special earrings that you could put a pin in and push the pus out. I thought they were called microdrones but I did a google search and couldn't find them.

yup.....
that is how we cleaned DD's the 1st month after she got them pierced and her ped said if they look red to continue doing that

Try bactine. I used it with all my piercings. It is an antiseptic like peroxide but also contains antibiotic. It is a liquid so you apply it with a cotton ball or q-tip.

mix sea salt with hot water and try and soak the area for a bit (maybe when she sleeps?)...It will work wonders!
