What can we expect....
We are meeting with a mortgage broker one night either this week or next week.
What can we expect with this meeting?
Does it cost anything? Do we need to bring anything with us? Are there any questions that you would suggest asking?
We are so new to this and the more info we have going into it, the better I think we will be able to handle it!
Thanks in advance!

no, it should not cost you a penny. you don't HAVE to bring anything with you (we didn't the first time) - but i do remember having to fax info to her afterwards, so it would help you if you can bring exact amounts of any debt you owe and the last couple of paystubs for both you and DH. good luck!

Re: What can we expect....
We used a mortgage broker. I think he wanted the following:
-last year's income tax statement -anything you might need to run a credit check -how much we were willing to spend on a house
I can find out more tonight for you Vanessa. FM me if you need help! We just bought a house in July.

No, it shouldn't cost you a single penny.
Be prepared to have your W-2's from last year (or your current ones if you have them), and a copy of the last 2 paychecks from each of you.
This is what we had to provide to HSBC when we got pre-approved.
Also, have a list of where you have your banking accounts (savings, checking, CDs, mutual funds, IRAs, etc) - they don't need to know amts yet, but they need to know what instutions hold your money.
